We know what this third Lockdown is going to be like. We've garnered significant experience with this distinct occurrence. According to those closest to me, Lockdown has been a valuable lesson to us all. Last year many of us had no choice but to face our inner weaknesses and do battle to see who would emerge victoriously. Everyone I know emerged from 2020 more potent and more resilient.

We can see this third Lockdown as the annoying and quirky distant cousin of 2020's lockdowns, how do we tackle it this time? With a beaming smile and open arms and I will tell you why.

A five-day lockdown is perfect, and I am not speaking about the virulence of the new variant, I am talking about us as people. We have been trickling back into the workplace, and our social lives are heating up once more, this Lockdown is the perfect excuse to regroup and recuperate! My work allows me to interact with hundreds of people every week, and the common thread between them all is that returning to work is welcome but a little daunting. In 2020 our homes became our security blankets, and the reduction of restrictions have tugged this blanket away; this five-day Lockdown will give us the space to breathe and stretch before we are thrust back into the real world once more.

We must look at every situation in our life from a positive perspective because the night is darkest before the dawn. We can sit and speculate that the government will extend this Lockdown but what can we do to stop that from happening? Nothing. If the Lockdown extends, we will have to grin and bear it; if it is not, then we would have had a lovely five-day break from the hustle and bustle.

The point of this week's entry is to pause before you throw an assessment at a situation in your life, it could be harmful, but did you give yourself the time to think about the positive?
